Cherie Byrd, MA

My name is Cherie Byrd, and I am a holistic energy therapist, healer, birth doula, author, speaker, and trainer. In the 70’s I graduated from Antioch University with a BA in the field of Holistic Health and Alternative Healing Modalities, and an MA in East/West Psychology.

I’ve been in private practice in the Seattle area for 33 years, specializing in holistic well-being, conscious relationships, empowerment and spiritual awakening. I am considered a pioneer in the fields of Energy Psychology and Energy Medicine and have been teaching subtle energy healing to medical professionals since 1976, creating trainings on sacred sexuality, energy management, the embodiment of multidimensional states of consciousness and subtle-field ecology.

While I’ve been honored to participate in many home and hospital births over the years, I’ve just upped my training and am now a graduate of Big Belly’s en Circle birth doula training. I am especially in love with practices that dispel fear and cultivate the ecstatic and I look forward to sharing expertise with the birthing community and creating a series of Energy-assisted Birthing workshops.

With my emphasis on cultivating connections of heart and soul, I am most known for my internationally recognized Kissing School, and I am currently crafting a Kissing School playshop especially for conceiving and expectant couples. I am the author of Kissing School, 7 Lessons on Love, Lips, and Life Force, and have been profiled in print, screen, audio and internet media around the world.
